great bunch of guys, some even play hockey pretty well. in all seriousness, they do a great job policing AND don't talk down to folks. they have great people skills. royal oak could do well to emulate Madison Heights.
Protect and Serve... and also cash grab. I was pulled over for what was called an illegal left turn. While pulled over, 4 other cars made the same infraction all resulting in a ticket. Instead of bleeding your residents out of more money, how about a sign that cleary states the left turn is illegal. The police officer was also double parked while making his quota. I understand that being above the law can be fun and even rewarding sometimes but lets do the right thing and make Madison Heights the community we all know it can be. A wise man once said, winners focus on winning, losers focus on winners. Think about it... because I'm a winner.

Called about a sick raccoon in my backyard. Two officers show up to look at it and tell me there is nothing they can do about it. The animal control officer is on vacation until next Monday. I'm wondering what we pay taxes for?

Just trying to keep my spirits up." ... "The guy in the leather jacket that's been with your department for twenty something years...Doesn't he know anything? Is he gay? Christian or Muslim? Does he know where to hide if he had to? This Police Athletic League a lot of you folks seem to be "of". Is it safe? Do you compete aggressively or is it a way of gett'n all together and being family like?
